Abstract: The phenomenon of streams drying in the Someşean Plateau. The drying of water flow from rivers is a complex phenomenon, which can manifest itself in different forms. In the Someşean Plateau, an integral part of the Transylvanian Depression, river drying occurs more frequently in the summer and autumn months, and less frequently in the winter months. The paper analyzes several aspects related to the drying phenomenon: the favoring factors, the distribution parameters and the zoning of the drying phenomenon
