Abstract. Thermal anomalyes in the Întorsura Buzăului Depression generated by absolute extremes. This article analyzes the characteristics of climatic elements and risk phenomena in the Întorsura Buzăului Depression (707 m altitude), based on the data from the 1961-2010 period obtained from the instrumental and visual observations performed at the meteorological stations in the region, and not only.
