ABSTRACT. Using GIS in cartographic representation of runoff induced by rain at annual scale. This study aims the development of a GIS methodology for cartographic representation of runoff induced by annual rain, starting from the precipitation and temperature point data. The runoff analysis was realized by using a balance equation which takes into account the following parameters: yearly precipitation amount, evapotranspiration, soil moisture. The algorithm used in order to obtain the maps for each parameter of the model is based on some formulas of map algebra. In addition, will be used a number of geostatistical methods (Kriging method, simple regression method). The study area is the Ampoi Watershed located in Eastern Apuseni Mountains.
