Abstract. – Rural settlement vulnerability. A point of view. The Paper stands the main aspects related rural settlement vulnerability: defining vulnerability concept, extrinsic and intrinsic components used to assess the vulnerability (resilience, sensitivity, fragility etc.). Taking their nature into consideration the components fall into severed classes: spatial, physical, demographic, socio-economic and environmental.
