RIVER WATER QUALITY IN THE LOWER CATCHMENT OF THE ARGEȘ RIVER

ABSTRACT,- River water quality in the lower catchment of the Argeş River. The rivers water quality in the lower catchment area of Arges River varies from one sector to another, influenced by both natural and anthropic factors. In this context, the present paper, the surface waters were divided in quality categories as required by law. Thus, the ecological condition of river streams was evaluated on the basis of biological, chemical and phisico-chemical quality indicators and specific pollutant which have an influence on the biological indicators.
