ABSTRACT. The landslides’ morpho-dynamic analysis. A case-study: Gârdani landslide. This research deals with the Gârdani landslide (Silvano-Someşene Hills), that occurred in March, 2000, as a result from the excess of rainfalls from this month. Our aim is to recognize the cause of such failure, its morphology, the activity of this landslide and its tendencies of evolution, predicting the most important area that might be affected by the sliding in the future. The geomorphologic study, carried out by using direct field-mapping in 2000, 2005 and 2009, has been integrated with a geological and climatic survey, dynamic investigation and morphometric analysis using GIS application. The Gârdani landslide is considered to be a rockslide reactivated in various phases, with different dimensions and characters (slide and flows). As to the activity, the landslide is active at present, that means this area is a geomorphological risk connected with the DJ 108 A road.
