ABSTRACT. - The Geographic Factors Causing the Appearance of Ice Dams within the Superior Basin of the Bistriţa River. In this work are described the natural conditions and the dams influences which very much the creating and the evolution of someriscs subjects, especially of dams on some courses with water from the superior hidrographical pool of Bistrita river. Between the elements which make the natural size which controls the producing phenomenon of dams are analyzed: The weather conditions from that place, thought as a result of its position at the weather sides contact from centre and est-european (warmer air coming from the west and north –west) and its territory configuration; Its characteristics from hidrographic configuration of the small tubs or meadows; Hydraulicsy of the tubs. There is an another important thing, those antropic impact effects which is very active, in its territory, determined by the very old life in the valleys or depressions, the small territory for natural resources exploitation. Finally it is presented some case studies.
