PERCEPŢIA INUNDAŢIILOR ÎN CULOARUL MUREŞULUI DINTRE REGHIN ŞI CONFLUENŢA CU ARIEŞUL

ABSTRACT. -The perception of the floods along the Mureş river path between Reghin and the confluence with Arieş River. This local area study engages in indicating the possible links between definite (the floods) and abstract (human reaction). Depending on these factors, the authorities may obtain a more or less accurate reflexion of inhabitants' reality perception that is in their jurisdiction, aiming to reduce damage and human loss. The survey was filled out by 1129 persons with permanent residences in four urban settlements (Reghin, Târgu-Mures, Iernut, Luduş) and eight rural settlements (Miheşu de Câmpie and Zau de Câmpie on Pârâul de Câmpie river, Râciu and Band on Comlod river, Sântana de Mures, Sâncrai, Cristesti and Ungheni on Mures river). There were analysed urban settlements compared to rural settlements, and settlements on Mureş River compared to the ones on the main tributaries. The following aspects were followed: identification data, the levels of experience, knowledge and information, the perception of authorities' involvement and volunteering activities.
