Abstract. Hydro-geomorphological risk factors that have degraded the spa tourism of Telega.  After an intense exploitation of salt deposits of Telega, that are part of the faulted diapirs of external Curvature Subcarpathians, the infiltrated water resulted from rainfall and surface flow settled in the old salt mines. For more than 140 years, these waters with a high quantity of salt were used for their therapeutically qualities. In the last years, view the increase of very powerful rainfalls, the risk of producing such hydro-geomorphological processes has grown, with a direct impact on the spa tourism potential. Our thorough research foresees neither a real stabilization of these processes, nor the rehabilitation of the spa tourism for Telega.

Key words: hydro-geomorphological processes, spa tourism, Telega, Prahova Subcarpathians.
