ABSTRACT.- Tree-fall risk in Romania (causes). The study has a theoretical nature and starts with a short history about the tree-falls in Romania. Then there are discussed the genetics and the risk factors that can induce tree-falls. Finally we review in detail the natural (stationary and dynamic factors) and anthropogenic (ecosystems artificiality, atmospheric pollution, greenhouse effects) causes of tree-falls.
