ABSTRACT.- Slope Kinematics - A case study on the Valley of Vulpii (Târgu Mureş Plateau). This study was prepared for setting the foundation and stability conditions of a slope area located on the right side of Vulpii Valley. The researched sector is characterized by a slope of about 250 and is located on the sliding body of an active landslide, with the possibility of reactivation. According to the paper theme, there have been established four geotechnical drilling in order to identify the local stratification and the main physical characteristics. The geotechnical verification of the slope’s stability has been achieved by taking into account the direct observations and laboratory data. The important factors in the triggering mechanism of landslides are: variations in humidity, freeze - thaw,and the slope gradient change.
