DEFICITUL PLUVIOMETRIC CA FENOMEN CLIMATIC DE RISC ÎN DEPRESIUNEA TRANSILVANIEI

ABSTRACT. -The pluviometric deficit as a climatic risk phenomenon in the Transylvania Depression. The study is based on processing and interpreting the annual and seasonal quantities of precipitations recorded at ten meteorological stations, within the interval 1950-1999. Situations in which the Standardized Index of Precipitations was lower than –1.0 were considered as risk years and/or risk seasons. The risk years and seasons by deficit have a relative reduced frequency in the Transylvania Depression and the territorial differences are not very relevant. The study may represent a preliminary stage in determining the studied territory’s vulnerability degree to the risk induced by the atmospheric precipitations.
